Владимир Леонов

He was born in Donetsk and realized almost at once: I want to become a motor-racer like my father! His professional way to motorsport-peaks “The first Russian MotoGP racer” started with riding a bicycle with an engine. After that, at school he began to take part in motorsport competitions. At the age of 13 he participated in The Russian Cross Country Motorcycling Championship on the bike Kawasaki KX80, then became a master of sport in this class. He continued his career “on the track” and started with Supersport in 2007. Since 2010 he has been a pilot of the team “Yakhnich Motorsport” Vladimir’s favorite track is Le Mans. He considers motor-racing his real passion and has never thought about doing anything else! In winter Vladimir goes in for snowboarding and skiing and this pleasure can be compared only with his favorite dish – chicken with apples.

Achievements

- The 2nd place of The Russian Road Racing Championship 2005, SS400

-  The 7th place IDM Supersport (Germany) 2008.
