All planned programs was finally did, and, especially for the Supersport bike of Vladimir Leonov whe had the possibility to acquire all the desired datas.

Suspensions, engine and electronic managements of the bike was developed day by day in the right direction, and after the very good results obtained in Jerez last week, we had even in Almeria very good feedback from the rider and from the chrono response.

Already in the first day of training the ritmh was already fixed in 1’39” low. In the second the rider was able to stay for many lpas between 1’38”1 and 1’38”5, and in the thirdh day it was easy for him to fix the best time of 1’37”8.

The last day, the not good weather conditions suggested the team to stop the work in the late morning but it is considerable a good sign that he was able to ride on the rithm of 1’38” low with the asphalt at 5 °C!

Vladimir Leonov: “In this second training we finalized the work on the bike setting, and it was easy to push more and more every session, taking the confidence to ride better and better. Unfortunatly we couldn’t do the long run prevented for the last day, but in this moment I can say that the feeling with the bike and the team is very good. All of us know that now in Australia will be very hard to confirm this results, but we will do our best”.

Sergey Vlasov too confirmed his good mood. In the first two day he worked with the team to find a basic setting with the first suspension set, and run by run his performances increasd, up to reach 1’42” as stable rithm. In the third day we tested a new suspension and immediatly he felt the differences. With this new materials his perfonmances increased again up to signing the best lap in 1’41”9, tyhat is a very good time for a stock 600 in Almeria.

Sergey Vlasov: “I’m happy to see the progression of performances from the bike and from myself, after the knee operation. In this two last training days I had some pain in the neck caming after the crash in jerez last week, but it is good to understand that both, me and the bike, are already about at 80% of top perfromaces. And workinh with the new materials we are sure to obtain better results in the future”

Even the other components of the team made many chilometers in this 4 days. David Leonov is improving quickly riding his Trophy R6. Every session 1 second faster up to sign a promising 1’51”, that is a very good time considering his lack of experience and considering that Almeria is one of the most techincal circuit in Europe.

Nataliya Lyubimova testd some different settings for his Stock R6, and in tyhe last two days her laptimes was stable around 1’51”,- 1’52”. The feeling with the bike increased day by day, and she would have easily broken the 1’50” wall if in the last day we would had better weather conditions.

Nadia Yakhnich did not had meny sessions, as she is recovering the best condition after the terrible accident of last october in Mugello, but it is confortable to see that she is able to do easily good laptimes even staying without riding for many months and still soffering some pain in the left knee that do not give her the best confidence. For sure she will be more aggressive in next training in febraury!

The guest

Even in Almeria we had Dakota Mamola and his father Randy as guest in the box. Dakota fixed bettere and better his friendship with all team components and especially with all the riders.
Russian and americans friend in the name of motorciclysm...Yes, it is possibile and funny, even thank’s to the grat character of the mythic Randy, a very great champion of the past ready to help all of us with his consulting during the practice.
Dakota continued to increase his good performances, and finalized the test with an impressive 1’43”6.

Dakota Mamola: “It was a pleasure for me to join this team, and I hope we could work together in the future in the R6 Trophy, It was lovely to know David, Vladimir, Nadia and Nata, and spend with them this wonderful week. I wonna say thank’s to all of them”.

Randy Mamola: “When my friend Claudio Corsetti invited me and Dakota to this test, to join the Yakhnich team, I was happy to say yes. Claudio is speaking me many times of the great results and programs of this team, And I’m happy that, thank’s to Mr. Yakhnich, the motorciclysm is growing faster and faster in Russia. Our sports need this kind of enthusiasm and this kind of riders. I saw here in fewe days a future champion, like Leonov, and saw here even the future of our sport in a big country, like Russia.”

«Yakhnich Motorsport» - Season 2012

«Yakhnich Motorsport» - Season 2012

TRAININGS JEREZ 20-22/ jan/ 2012

The whole Yakhnich Team arrived in Jerez for the first team training of the 2012 season. Not so cold temperature but sunny weather conditions allowed to the team to start a good setting program for all riders.

Vladimir Leonov started to work with is mechanics to finalize the choose beetween two different suspensions sets, and beetween two differents engine configurations.

Immediatly from friday the 20.th the feeling of the rider with the bike started to be good, and we saw it on the crono: just after a couple of “warm up” runs, the laptimes started to be interesting: 1’46, then 1’45, the, in the begining of the afternoon even an astonishing 1’44”9... just the tenth of second to the official Supersport record of the Jerez circuit (setted in 1’44”6).

Really not bad start of the season for Yakhnich team especially if we consider that we are working with not perfect asphalt condition and with the Pirelli SC2 in front and rear, abosolutely not the best compound for laptime attack.

Saturday and Sunday we continued on that direction. The testing program was a little bit stopped in saturday afternoon, due to some electric and engine problems, so the program was deleted of some sessions. Sunday the weather in the middle of the day was sliglty wormer, and the program was completed, improving still the already good performances. Infact, as on friday the rithm was setted around 1’45”, on sunday Leonov was able to ride for many laps under that limit, and fixing the best lap in 1’44”7, just 1 thenth of second to the record!

During the days Vladimir had the possibility to discuss about lines and riding style with our “special” trainer Randy Mamola, and he was happy to apply immediatly some suggestion to improve hi performances from friday till sunday.

Vladimir Leonov: “I’m happy with the feeling with both bikes we tested. They have different riding caractheristic, but what is good is that both was fast in the same way. I hade to change my riding in some points passing from one suspensions configuration to the other, but at least we had good informations to go on with the development in next training in Almeria”.

On the other side of the box Sergey Vlasov started with a calm rithm to came back to riding after this winter operation to the knee. He is testing is Stock 600 R6 that will be used in Coppa Dei Due Paesi Trophy.

It was a very good beginnig even for him, as, after roling up the new engine for a couple of session, he started to push, up to arrive to 1’51”4, close to confirm his personal record of 1’51”0 in this circuit setted last year after a thre days training.

Vlasov is working with a new mechanich group and the day was used even to create the good feeling in the box, with all staff smiling at the end of the day!

Unfortunatly the saturday training was stopped by a crash at the second corner. IN any case on sunday rider and bike was ready to restart the program, and, lap by lap, the performances became more and more interesting, up to reach easily a stable rithm of 1’49” and a best lap of 1’49”2!

Nadia Yakhnich was not so lucky in her caming back after the terribile accident of last october in Mugello. Her new engine had a problem after 2 laps, so mechanich lost all morning to change the engine. By the way her desire to ride was stronger then the bad luck, and so, in the afternoon, in only two session, she started to keep a good rithm , setting 1’58”3 as best lap and 1’56”5 as ideal time!
Saturday a dangerous contact with another rider during the early session let her increase her bad feeling with thi training, so she decided to stop, waiting for a better luck in Almeria.

Last, but not least, David Leonov entered officialy the Yakhnich Team for 2012 Season riding his R6 trophy bike to take as much experience as possibile during winter.
His improving process never stops, so, after a quite start, he took the rithm always following Claudio Corsetti on the circuit, and signed a best perfomance of 2’06”... “Not bad”, as his brother Vladimir would say, for a rider that is here for the first time in his career... And improving the riding every day, at least he stopped the crono in 2’01”, absolutely respectable for a rookye in Jerez.

THE GUESTS

Special Guest in our box two foreigner riders: Rebecca Bianchi andDakota Mamola, son of the famous Randy.

Both of them are young riders with some experiences, but not so much in this class. Especially Dakota, at his second abosolute riding on a four stroke 600 bike... nevertheless, the good blood of the father confirmed the talent: OK, he know Jerez As he rode here with the 125 Gp bike, but sign 1’51”2 is a wonderful and promising beginnig of the season for this young rider. He shared the same Bike with Rebecca, and even the young italian lady, for the first time of his career out of the italian borders, signed a promising 1’55”4 that let us understand her possibilities in 2012 season, even when she will fight with the man in R6 trophy.

Happy New Year!

С Новым годом!!!!

Presentation of Yakhnich Motorsport Calendar 2012

Presentation of Yakhnich Motorsport Calendar 2012

Presentation of Yakhnich Motorsport (YMS) team calendar 2012 took place in Tony restaurant on December 19th.

Many remember the 2010 calendar with the fastest Russian “girls-on-two-wheels” images created by photographer Mikhail Kharlamov. Then, the heroines of the stylish calendar weren’t only the lady-pilots of “Yaknich Motorsport” Nataliya Lyubimova and Nadia Yakhnich, but all the girls – participants of the Russian Road Racing Championship. The embodiment of the creative idea was helped by such artists as Yulia Kalmanovich – a designer, Olga Rubets – a popular hairstylist, Vlasta – a stylist of clothes.

Three ideas for the calendar Yakhnich Motorsport 2012 were offered by a well-known photographer Andrey Razumovsky. The members of the team chose one, the most unusual and interesting, in their opinion.

The pilot of “Yakhnich Motorsport” Nadia Yakhnich: “It was a tornado of unforgettable impressions. Last time, when we were making the calendar 2010, we had almost an all-girl party and this time the whole team “Yakhnich Motorsport” took part in the project. Many hours long photo-session under complex conditions presented extraordinary emotional experience and gave a chance to learn my team-mates better”.

“The opportunity to work with interesting creative people is always a treatment for me. Every time it becomes a discovery, you deal with unusual vision of the situation, creative decisions which I could never think of in spite of my strong desire to piece sport and beauty together. Every time after realization of such projects you see the world of motorsport in new unexpected light” – says Nataliya Lyubimova the team-manager of “Yakhnich motorsport”.

Involvement of different photo-artists and making of such calendars are becoming a good tradition. At present moment, after immersion into the creative process, the team isn’t ready to announce next projects, but their primordial ideas are definitely crowding in heads of “Yakhnich Motorsport” members and they expect next shows to be even more impressive!
The team “Yakhnich Motorsport” thanks all the participants of the project “Yakhnich Motorsport Calendar 2012” for unforgettable experience and extremely interesting companionship.
We are happy to congratulate all our friends, fans and partners and wish them Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Календарь 2010

<img title="Январь. We have just finished shooting for a team calendar – it is a tremendous project, presentation of which will take place in the second half of December. Sergey Vlasov is going to take part in the strongest class of the Italian Championship for motorcycles with engine of 600cc – Supersport . My team-mate Nadya Yakhnich is preparing to get her revenge in the Italian championship after the hard season 2011. Starting from 26 August 2012 Russia will hold top-level motorsport for 10 years. So, Moscow has become Stop 14 of the World Superbike Tour 2012 and has joined the coalition of motor powers consisting of Australia, Italy, Holland, the USA, Spain, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Portugal and France.

Bringing of SBK to Russia was attempted for several years. But for some reasons this dream remained just a dream until the businessman Alexander Yakhnich put his shoulder to the wheel. His partner – the President of Infront Motor Sports Paolo Flammini told: “The new stage in Russia is a perfect present to all motorsport-lovers for the twenty-fifth birthday of the championship! We got serious support from the Government of Russian Federation in the name of the Olympic Committee President Alexander Zhukov who promised to provide all-round cooperation. Thereby, World Superbike will become the first international top-level championship which has “discovered” Russia. It is an excellent opportunity to extend the existing market and present new horizons to the partners of the championship. Russia is so big that it can afford more than one high-level track”.

The President of YMS Promotion Ltd Alexander Yakhnich: “We have got months of hard and uphill organizational work ahead of us. Russian people’s great interest for technical kinds of sport has been repeatedly confirmed by the events which went off successfully in Moscow: arrival of the teams Formula-1 and their show in the centre of the capital, motorcycle parades around Kremlin, cross-country motorcycle race in “Olympiisky”, motorcycle and snowmobile freestyle on Red Square. Russia has enormous audience of car and motorcycle racing TV translations…Interest in big sport isn’t displayed only by the audience. The Championship attracts big investors and sponsors. On average, holding of one stage of the World Championship in Europe costs about 5 million euro. At present moment it is impossible to voice even rough estimate of the Russian stage, as its holding costs depend on a number of factors: broadcasting rights, internal and external procurement, additional expenditure, video recording process management and the final product release in a live television broadcast… Even at the European stages organizers work differently on each track of the World Championship. Status of a track is very important here. If it is a famous track with history, settled in the SBK calendar and if it is a principal stage of the World Championship, the investments in most cases will be lower, just 2-3 million euro. The stage in Russia will be much more expensive, as it is a new market and a marked distance from Europe telling on the procurement. The country holds World Superbike for the first time and we have got the last free stage. We will try to keep within 10 million euro, but time will show what it will come to in reality. In any case, we are planning not only to maintain the high standard of organization but even offer a higher level and make the Russian stage an unforgettable event in the history of Russian and World sport”.

The team “Yakhnich Motorsport” in the frames of the Championship will be represented by Vladimir Leonov – the most promising and fastest Russian racer who did very well in one of the most prestigious European competitions – The Italian Championship CIV 2011 and who was able to create a furor at the final stage of World Superbike in Portimao (Portugal). On one of the most difficult tracks, on a new unfamiliar motorcycle of World Supersport class Vladimir finished the race in Top-10 having left behind a lot of more experienced sportsmen. “The program of the Moscow show is going to include Supersport and Superbike races, The third stage of the second season of “The Cup of Two States” – Coppa dei due Paesi. A spectacular air show and so on” – informs the press service of Yakhnich Motorsport.

Appearance of the Moscow stage in the world calendar inspired the leaders of the Championship so much that celebration of Superbike’s 25th birthday was taken from London to Moscow. Carlos Checa (2011 SBK World Champion, Ducati Althea); FIM board of directors, heads of the companies Bridgepoint and Infront Motorsports, leaders of Pirelli, Alfa Romeo, Tissot, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, BMV, Ducati, Aprilia, Piaggio, Alitalia, etc are coming to Moscow on 25 November 2011. Generally speaking, the pick of world motor-racing. A big press-conference for the Russian mass media will be given before the Party.

Contacts: Dmitry Dyachenk, head of YMS press-service, www.yakhnichmotorsport.ru Tel. +7(916) 606 26 59, +7 (926) 939 29 33, e-mail: dyachenko.d@gmail.com

This is racing....

This is racing....

CIV 2011

ROUND 8

MUGELLO 20-23 s

Sunday 23-10-2011, race

It is not the end of the season we was expecting, but... this is racing baby... Vladimir Leonov lost the possibility to win the Championship in the middle of the last lap, just in the beginning of the second sector, of Mugello, the sector in wich he demonstraded during all week-end to be the absolutely faster rider...

He was second in that moment, preparing the attach for the victory, when the crazy Gregorini, fourth, tried to attach third and second position in one shot in the most difficoult point of the circuit, the Casanova-Savelli esse in downhill... He overtook the fourth rider, but doing it lost the front of his bike, hitting the rear tyre of Leonov, pushing our Vladimir out of the asphalt.

We was not sure to win the race, we was not sure to win the championship, but it is not the end we was expecting...

It is sad, to write this story today. It is sad to talk about race and results just one hour after the Simoncelli dead.
We was prepared to an happy party. We cannot do it. Not because we finished the race in seventh position, loosing even the second place in championship (gone to Russo, second after the new italian champion, Lombardi).
We cannot do it because all team is astonished of the Simoncelli dead.

But one thing we wanted to do and we did: to celebrate this emotional and fantastic season of Yakhnich Motorsport team with the t-shirt prepared for the eventual championship winning.

Because for all of us Leonov is the champion, and Yakhnich Motorpsort team is the best.

Leonov is faster than Lombardi in qualifing sessions on the last stage of CIV 2011

Leonov is faster than Lombardi in qualifying sessions on the last stage of CIV 2011

CIV 2011

ROUND 8

MUGELLO 20-23

Saturday 22-10-2011, qualifying sessions

«How can I came back to ride the stock 600 after driving the supersport in Portimao»? smiling Vladimir Leonov was asking on the way back from the fantastic world supersport weekend in Portugal. «How can I ride now, without all this power, and without all the electronic I tested on the supersport»?

We don't know how he did, but he did it well during the free practice in Mugello and during the qualifying session of the last and really important race of CIV 2011.

We are here to play the game, we are here to fight for the title!

If we win and Lombardi finish in fourth position or worse, we would be the 2011 champions.

Maybe you image there are a lot of pressure on the rider and on the team, but it isn't.
